Prototyping RockBots 3000
RockBots 3000 is a project that I've been dreaming about for the past year or so. It's a game about GIANT MUSICAL ROBOTS, that battle for genre supremacy in an urban world where music has been outlawed by the M.A.N. Robots with soul use the power of music to rock the world and take the power back. We've got an awesome multi-talented team to bring this vision to life. This video is of the first prototype.

Nightmare Before Christmas Break
This one was a doozy. After the Checkmate project, I was launched into this one with 3 weeks to kick it's ass!! I really liked the way it turned out, I am a gigantically huge fan of Tim Burton and Henry Selick. This was all modeled and textured and imported into unreal by myself.

Got some sweet normals off this high poly angry pumpkin I did in Max and ZBrush.

Zero's house looked better in the Unreal 3 editor than in Zbrush.

Alternate Beauty shot in the graveyard.

Any and all feedback is appreciated. Thanks for watching.

Demo 2 Project: Sticky Rice - CHECKMATE -
">
Time for something new. This is a video I put together about a project I worked on for the Unearthly Challenge 09. This was a collaboration with my colleagues Scotty Wang and Zhen Xiao. I did concept art, and some prop modeling as well as the effects. Scotty was our main environment artist, and Zhen helped with concept, environment, as well as shader tech.
I hope you enjoy our Battle Chess Space Opera, Checkmate.

Games I worked on back in the day...
When I got my first job in the videogame business back in 2000 it was as a QA-tester for LucasArts. I was there for 5 years and "officially" worked on 14 different games. Along the way I was lended-out temporarily to many more. I was immersed in Star Wars video game work environment. I worked with amazing people and made tons of friends. I also worked with a few companies off-site and attended many of the conventions which were amazing to be apart of. E3, Comicon, SIGGRAPH, and many more it was great.
Starfighter Special Edition Xbox
">
This was my first game. An enhanced version of Starfighter for the Xbox. I tested the heck outta this game. From button mashing on loading screens to playing multi-player with an extra controller in my lap. After this they put me on the PC Port. It was an expanded universe Ep. 1 space shooter.
Obi Wan Xbox
">
A very cool game where you run around as Obi Wan in a 3d Ep 1 universe, force pushing dudes off ledges and throwing your lightsaber at Kortosis Bad Guys. Also had a duel mode where you could play as various Jedi against a friend. I came in near the end of development and tested Multi-player a ton.
Jedi Starfighter
">
This game was crazy! You flew around in a Jedi Starfighter and could use force powers to dispense with your enemies. It continued the story of Starfighter into the Ep 2 Movie territory. I tested the earlier missions before i was moved onto a PC port of Starfighter PS2 for a while.
I worked on many games there, This is Chapter 1.

the old house
my old house! My Grandpa built this house, and raised his kids in it, and then one of his kids raised their kids in it, and now one of his kids is raising their kids in it! This is for my 3D Camera techniques class. I built the model in Maya.

3d animation homework
the timing is a more than a little off, but I think it gets the point across. The teacher said that we had to animate someone dieing, I think this fills the requirement.

1st pass title sequence for my game idea
so far this is the coolest looking 3d animation that I've done, I'd like to go back and really refine this and make it into something that actually looks great.

my old toy box for homework

This is my first fancy textured 3d model. Teacher said to create our own textures for a crate with mental ray and this is what I'm turning in. It's not perfect because I had to create part of the texture in Photoshop with image I found online.
I had about 30 Ninja Turtles, He-men, Thundercats and a few Micromachines stuffed in this old Toybox when I was growing up.

Game Wizards!
http://www.g4tv.com/xplay/videos/20994/Will_Work_For_Games_Student_Developers.html
This is the G4 spot that featured Game Wizards (the class I'm enrolled in as a concept artist) I would embed the player but I don't know how to do tricky stuff like that.

This is the first cartoon I've ever made, it was mainly done as an exercise to introduce us to the idea of moving objects across a page in a simulated 3d space. My instructors name is Norland Tellez.
Music Credit: Remix of over world music from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game for Nintendo Entertainment System. (used without permission)
Original Composer: Keizo Nakamura
Remix Composer: Kain Minter & Roddy Toomim:TeenTurtleTryp
We had to give our sack some personality, so I decided to make my sack a trigger happy religious fanatic. Our instructor had a few requirements for this assignment, the sack had to get scared, and run away, and meet it's demise.
Music Credit: Norman Greenbaum: Spirit in the Sky (used without permission)
This one I decided to make very personal, so I put myself in it! I piece of my artistic past comes alive to help me overcome obstacles as an adult. Crayons, FTW!
Music Credit: Gorillaz: Faust: featured on the album G Sides (used without permission)
(If there is any kind of problem with me posting my cartoons with music that I borrowed let me know and I'll post muted versions.)

4th quarter portfolio (BIG POST)

This monster post has a little of everything, each piece is labeled for the class that I did it for. For this portfolio I received an outstanding portfolio award for Summer 2007. It was an honor to be recognized.
Dracula Must Die
This is a board game I created for a class I took. I created the idea for the game as well as all the art it took to bring it to life. It is 2-4 players, co-op or versus. The object of the game is to find the items you need to destroy Dracula without being turned into a vampire. My favorite part of this game is that it doesn't end when you die, it just gets more fun.
